In 1985 United Salad Co. purchased Duck to service the foodservice trade. Under United Salad’s ownership, we have gone from a company of 30 employees to a full service produce distributor of over 300 employees.

Duck combined with its parent company constitutes one of the largest produce houses in the Pacific Northwest. We receive fresh produce seven days a week and it is rotated four to six times a week in our warehouse. This product rotation, combined with our quality control programs and personnel, assures our customers the freshest product available on a daily basis.

Top quality uncut fruits and vegetables arrive at our 135,999 square foot warehouse where they are delivered to a separate processing room. All products are inspected, cleaned, peeled, skinned and cut by hand to precise specifications. Cut-to-order product is carefully packaged and delivered within 24 hours. Restaurant, foodservice and retail customers can taste the freshness in every bite.

Consistent standards of freshness and handling give you the best of both worlds: garden fresh taste and appearance without time-consuming preparation. Ready-to-serve carrots, celery and radishes are perfect for the salad bar or garnish. Carrot rounds, julienne or crinkle cuts are ready to toss into your very best vegetable dishes.
